I recently drove up to Hood River for an overnight camping trip. My goal was to photograph the pear orchards which were in bloom with a view of Mt Hood. I stayed at Memaloose State Park in order to be close enough for sunrise. Staying at the campground is easier for that morning sunrise shoot. It was the first time car camping for the season. Now the car is prepped and ready for the next adventure!
I was at the same location last year and really liked last years images better. But as always, it’s fun to try and capture an image with better light and conditions. By the way, it was not on private property. Sometimes I will travel to take pictures of a particular scene for my photography business. These popular locations do well for my image licensing and print sales. Last year I did sell one of the images I took from this viewpoint to a new medical center. I also sold several other local shots so this was my purpose in trying for another image on this trip.
I hope you enjoy the video!
