Oregon had a really great year of fall color the seemed to last a long time. It was one of the best I have seen in years. In October, I was able to go to several locations around Oregon and Washington. I was so happy with the photos I took. However, in early November I had a back injury so that I couldn’t do the hiking I had planned to do in the Columbia River Gorge and other locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
I had heard that the fall colors in the Columbia River Gorge were still going strong so I decided I must go, back pain or not! The first stop was the classic shot of Multnomah Falls because it was easy on my back, haha. It was also the first time I had seen so much color there.
Next stop was walking the Wahclella Falls Trail that is a short hike of about 1.9 miles. I figured my back could handle that. Well even though I was walking carefully to reduce pain, I was glad I went. It just lifted my spirits and mood. Time out in nature always does that for me. Wahclella is a wonderful waterfall but I didn’t really get any photos I liked from the trail. I did manage to take a lot of video footage to put together a YouTube Video of my day in the Gorge. I hope you enjoy it!
In case you were wondering , it took about six weeks for my back to heal up with the help of Physical Therapy. I’m happy to say I’m pain free and doing well.
