I’m thrilled to share that my images are published in the October/November 2012 issue of Country Woman Magazine! The bi-monthly magazine is one of several publications owned by Reader’s Digest.

I was excited when copies of the magazine arrived in the mail. I’ve had to wait nearly a year to see the layout. The assignment took place November of last year.
I was hired to follow writer, Ann Kaiser as she toured the Elk River Farms near Port Orford, Oregon with hosts, Gretchen and Randy Farr. The Farr’s are a sweet family and I enjoyed meeting them and spending the day learning about their farm operations.
Ann is a seasoned writer who was the editor of Country Woman Magazine for over 30 years before retiring. After retiring, she came back to Country Woman magazine to do her “Editor in the Country” feature because it was so popular. She travels to farms and writes about her experiences. I really enjoyed her warm spirit and sense of humor. It was a pleasure to do the assignment for her.
The weather that day was a typical blustery coastal day with wind and rain throughout my time there. Not only was it my first photo assignment for a magazine but it was the first time wearing hip waders in a cranberry bog! I enjoyed the experience and hope to get a chance to do something like this again in the future.
Congratulations Patricia the photos look great!
