At the end of May I traveled to the California Redwoods to photograph the wild rhododendron’s in bloom within the forest. It’s really hit and miss each year that I’ve been there during the late spring. On this particular trip it seemed a bit early for the blooms. There were some though so I’m happy I at least captured the beginning of the bloom season.
The Damnation Creek Trail within the Del Norte Coast Redwood State Park always seems like a photographer’s dream to me. Especially if you get a chance to witness fog and light, creating streaming light or light beams. It’s truly magical to witness and photograph. I’ve only had these condition happen once while visiting so it was very exciting to have these great conditions this year.
I was pleased with the images I captured and share them in a new YouTube video. I also added some tips on photographing during the conditions I described above. I hope you enjoy watching this video and that you consider subscribing to my channel. It will really help me out as I grow my YouTube channel this year. I plan to keep adding video content on a regular basis.
