We recently traveled to Nevada to visit with my family in Las Vegas. When we pay a visit, we usually stay in Boulder City at Boulder Beach Campground at Lake Mead. It’s much cheaper to stay out there than in Las Vegas. It is also less stressful than bringing an RV into the city. It takes about a half hour to drive to my mom’s home so it is definitely a better option.
After our visit with family, we drove out to Valley of Fire State Park. Instead of staying inside the park we decided to boondock about 5 miles near the entrance at a popular BLM camp spot. It worked out well. Since two days of our visit were spent inside during strong winds, we didn’t get as much time to explore the park as we had hoped. I still enjoyed my time there photographing in the park.
